Drinking a small amount of alcohol each day can prevent diabetes
The latest research results show that men consume 15-29 grams per day
of alcohol, with those who did not drink or drinkers, less than 12
years later, will make it the risk of diabetes decreased 36%. For those
who drink beer, white wine or white wine are as well.
The researchers note that says, drinkers or those with severe
alcohol intake of more than 50 grams per day were less likely to
diabetes 39%, but very few people in this study of alcohol intake to
achieve such a high level. It is for this reason, the findings may not
apply to all heavy drinkers. Responsible for this research comes from
the Harvard School of Public Health Katherine M. Conigrave. 50 grams of
alcohol is roughly equivalent to 3 to 4 cups 12 ounces of beer, 3 to 4
cups 5 ounces of wine, or 3 to 4 small glass of white wine. The study
report was published in October this year, published in "Diabetes"
magazine, the report said that drinking at least a week to achieve the
five days will ensure the best possible diabetes prevention effect,
even if alcohol consumption is at least every so.
The researchers found that drinking no more than two persons per
week does not reduce the incidence of diabetes risk. This finding is
based on nearly 47000 middle-aged medical workers on the basis of the
investigation to get. The subjects answered a survey on drinking
habits. Body mass index and age, does not change the findings. The
researchers wrote in the report: "With regard to alcohol consumption
problem that requires a comprehensive assessment of alcohol on the
individual's benefits and drawbacks. Our results show that alcohol can
reduce the risk of type ' diabetes is one of the benefits of drinking.
"
The researchers believe that the study results, and some of the
results is consistent with the previous, indicate that moderate
drinking can reduce the risk of chronic diseases, these chronic
diseases, including type ' diabetes and heart disease. Conigrave et al
concluded that: "Our results show that regular alcohol consumption to
the greatest degree of prevention of type ' diabetes mellitus, even low
levels of alcohol consumption also play a role."
