Pregnancy and Menstruation Period

Menstruation or "period" occurs when the body is set to let go of all the material it had accumulated in case the woman was to conceive. This includes the womb. However, when at the end of this cycle, the woman has not conceived, the body discards these materials. In the process of this, bleeding occurs. During the period of menstruation, a woman does not only release blood, but a specific fluid known as menstrual fluid, as well. So, it is apparent that if the woman were to have conceived and been pregnant, it would be absolutely impossible for her to have a period.

Now, the question is "what is the bleeding that some women experience during pregnancy?". Another question is "Can you be pregnant and still have a period-like bleeding?". This has been seen in many cases. Such as in the initial stages of pregnancy, the woman bleeds. This tends to happen on the dates of her menstruation periods. No doubt, this gives the woman the illusion that she is menstruating. But, there is a clear difference. This particular bleeding does not contain any menstrual fluids. The simple truth is that It is just blood that is being released from the body. Therefore, this bleeding will not be the same as your regular menstrual bleeding. It will either be much lesser or more. The most confusing part in pregnancy and menstruation is that the number of days that the pregnancy bleeding occurs could be the same as the period or menstruation. This type of bleeding is often called pregnant period bleeding.
