Japan discovered a new method of treatment of diabetes

Tokyo Medical University researchers Cihhuei will be a new experiment shows that by the pancreas to the diabetic mice implanted in a specific gene can be successfully so that those with lower blood sugar function in substantially the proliferation of pancreatic beta cells. This discovery is conducive to development of new methods for treating diabetes.

The researchers also confirmed that the virus used in experiments only when the implanted gene, while the implanted genes only in pancreatic beta cells play a role, so this method induced a small risk of cancer.

Pancreatic beta cell insulin secretion and thus have the function of lowering blood glucose, diabetes, pancreatic beta cells in vivo in patients with reduced or declining role, leading to continued high blood sugar levels. Therefore, to make pancreatic beta cells is a fundamental method of treating diabetes. Researchers plan future targets of large animals similar experiment, and strive to make this therapy eventually developed into clinical application.
