Clinical features of type 1 diabetes mellitus
Type
1 diabetes is islet β-cells were due to severe damage caused. Features
are: pancreatic islet β-cells are rapidly and severely damaged, leading
to insulin rapidly, a serious lack.
Clinical features of type 1 diabetes: a serious lack of insulin,
"more than three a little" is obvious. Disease is very sudden, very
violent oncoming force. Most patients have a significant incidence of
"more than three a little" symptoms. Like "overnight" islet β-cells,
was completely destroyed. But a small number of patients may have a
grace period of several months. That is, after several months of time,
islet β-cells was only completely destroyed.
Etiology of type 1 diabetes: some with auto-immune related, some
with certain virus infection. Some research suggests that breast
milk-fed children than the children suffering from type 1 diabetes more
chances, so promotion of breastfeeding. Some of the reasons also
unknown, is still a not completely shrouded in mystery.
Adult late-onset autoimmune diabetes is a special type 1 diabetes.
1. Onset age for adults, more in 20-50 years, and mostly normal-weight or low body weight.
2. Pathogenesis of early stage and type 2 diabetes is similar, but
also an effective oral hypoglycemic agents. However, after a period of
time, oral hypoglycemic agents failure, increasing blood sugar,
symptoms become increasingly obvious that the blood levels of insulin,
C-peptide levels gradually decreased. The indicators can meet the
following criteria:
' 1 fasting blood glucose ' 16.5mmol / L
' 2 fasting plasma C-peptide values of <0.4mmol / L, oral glucose, plasma C-peptide values after the <0.8mmol / L
' 3 body mass index ' 25
3. Glutamic acid decarboxylase antibodies.
4. Genetic test: HLA-DQB1 chain of the first 57 points, a non-aspartic acid homozygous gene.
Among them, (1) ~ (2) the basic conditions for the diagnosis,
coupled with (3) or (4), one can be diagnosed with late-onset
autoimmune diabetes in adults.
